Which is the best personality to be?

Because the Personality Profile is a tool, not a test, the results are never “right” or “wrong.” Like the natural tendency to want to get a high score in an exam, people often ask, “Which is the best Personality to be?” The answer: The Personality living in its strengths! Review the list of Personality strengths and weaknesses that are provided here in the Wired That Way Personality Profile. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone lived in the strengths of his or her Personality? If you are living in your strengths, you will be someone people will want to be with—and you’ll like who you are! In reality, most of us don’t even know what our Personality strengths are—let alone how to accentuate them. Instead, we struggle with our weaknesses, living life feeling defeated by them. As you learn about your basic Personality, you will understand what you can and cannot change about it.

This profile isn’t designed to pigeonhole or put you in a box, but to help you develop an individual Personality Plan that works for you. In the process of discovering your identity, you can use The Personalities as a tool to overcome your natural weaknesses (or struggles), find freedom to live in your strengths, and make a conscience effort to acquire strengths that are not natural to your Personality. All of which will make you a well-balanced person—which is the best Personality to be!

Now that you have a grasp of your own Personality, you are probably thinking about the Personalities of everyone with whom you interact. The Personalities will not only help you with your personal growth but will also be useful in improving your relationships with others. While you can’t change other people, you can change the way you approach them as you begin to identify and understand their Personalities (see chapter 3 of Wired That Way). When you learn to speak another’s Personality language, you can communicate on a level that makes all the difference in your ability to get along with others (see chapter 8 of Wired That Way).

Whether the people with whom you desire to improve your relationships are customers, colleagues, companions or your children, Wired That Way is an easy-to-understand, easy-to-apply Personality system. Have each of the people in your life take the Wired That Way Personality Profile and use it as a starting place to discuss each of your individual Personalities—the strengths and weaknesses. Then read the Wired That Way book to develop a customized Personality Plan for your own growth (this is especially effective in counseling settings), for team-building at work or on committees, and for improvement in all your relationships.

Yes, “You Are Here.” But here may not be where you will want to stay. Apply the Personality Plan and enjoy living in your strengths!

I have the great pleasure of keeping Florence company as her daughter Marita travels for short trips.

I read Personality Plus by Florence about nine years ago, and wished I had read it many years earlier, as it provided me with great insight not only into my own Temperament/Personality, but to others close to me in my life!

Using the tools and learning to “Temper my Temperament”, proved beneficial in the way I communicate with others according to their Personalities!

I am honored to know this beautiful and talented woman and her family! I treasure their friendship and insights!
